The boys were SO excited for their Uncle Brandon and Aunt Tamsin to come!! Here are the Valentines they made for them:
Making them was fun, but giving them away was even better!
Brandon brought along his Christmas present for Landon - a TonTon sleeping bag! He and Tamsin made it themselves (and it's a real, useable outdoor one instead of the blanket ones you can find on thinkgeek.com)
It took Landon a minute to warm up to it (especially after Brandon showed him the scene from Star Wars on Hoth. Landon was really sad for the TonTon at first! Then he just thought it was awesome!
Of course we had to play some Wii Olympics
The boys would follow Brandon around and cling to his legs:

They LOVED Brandon and Tamsin's ski goggles!
And Tamsin's hair straightener...
Unfortunately, we didn't get to skiing as planned (Brandon and Parker got puke-sick the night before). It was so much fun having them around, though - we miss you guys already!! Oh, and the M&M's are officially gone. It's too bad Brandon purposefully closed his eyes in this picture :).
Thanks for the visit - can't wait to see you in March!

We had a pigeon adopt our house last week and someone was VERY excited:
Yep, he's still there.
This pigeon hung around for days - maybe he was cold?
Here is some dialogue for the boys about their pigeon pet:
L: Mom, we need to give our pigeon a name.
M: That's a good idea. What do you think would be a good name for him?
P: I think....he will be......Parker!
P: Oh no! Our pigeon pet is gone! (he would go away during the day and come back at night)
M: It's ok, maybe he's with his family or out flying.
P: Yeah! My pigeon pet loves me. He is so nice to me. I think he is getting me eggs!!
L: No Parker, pigeons don't give us eggs. Susan gives us eggs (she's the lady we buy our eggs from across the street)
P: No Landon! My pigeon is flying to GET. ME. EGGS!
We have had great luck here in CO meeting wonderful friends. I love it when my boys love playing with the children of moms that I love to spend time with! That sentence is a bit convoluted, but you know what I mean :).
Here's a recent play day with one of our favorite friends, Audrey. Of course, dressing up was in order! Here's SuperMan (this is his "super" pose....I laugh so hard at this picture!!)
Parker opted for the pirate outfit. He's getting really good at his "YAR MATEY!!"
And the best part....Audrey was Batman. Well, Landon insisted she be called "Batwoman". They were hilarious together!!
This is one of their favorite dress-up games. We pretend the futon is a pirate ship and when people fall off into the water (the ailments are endless - they drown, get eaten by sharks, bitten by piranhas, you name it), the Dr. has to prescribe some sort of medication to solve the problem. It's usually Tylenol or vitamins.
On another day we went out for lunch to Chick-Fil-A. I'd never even heard of this restaurant before moving here, but it is such a fun place to go. The play place is clean and there's free ice cream on Wednesdays! I love how Audrey is looking at Parker in this picture...

I'm totally behind in my blog posts - sorry!! A few weekends ago we went out to Albuquerque to visit our good friends Brad and Lisa. This time we got to visit their new addition, too!! This is Eden and her beautiful Mama:
The boys were SO excited to see these guys and to meet Eden. If you don't remember, we lived with Brad and Lisa for a few months while Scott was doing a rotation there. I think our boys would be happy living with them forever! The whole way home Landon was saying "Why can't we just stay in New Mexico?". We had to explain that even if we stayed in NM, we couldn't live with Brad and Lisa forever. His only response was "Why??". So cute.
We had a ton of fun over the weekend, but I wasn't very good at taking pictures. I was just enjoying our time together! Of course, one of the few pictures I got was of our hand ice cubes. Good thinkin' Brad!! The fingers kind of fell off in the punch...
The only picture I got of Brad was in the purple blob. Landon was SO excited to play purple blob again - he remembered it from last year!
This time Parker was big enough to join Landon for some very intense games of foozeball :)
Lastly, Brad and Lisa put together a little party with some of our favorite people that we got to know when we were out there last year. We had a delicious dinner (navajo taco's...yummm) and then decided to play games. Well, this is the game we came up with. And it was awesome:
Thanks for having us guys - we can't wait to see you this summer!!
