Yahoo!

For those of you who missed this on the Yahoo! main page yesterday, here was our 15 min. (or 4 hours I guess) of fame! Look closely at the featured article/picture:

Scott and I did a shoot for a photo stock company when we were still in Utah. Who knew we'd actually see one of our photos in use! Too bad it was for an article in Esquire...haha. Here's a picture of one of Parker's first smiles. He's grinning all the time now and we feel like he's close to a first giggle. We'll keep you posted!

Scrapbooking

Scott got me Photoshop Elements for Christmas and I just made my first two digital scrapbook pages! I'm still going to make the boys books by hand, but I thought I'd make a few pages digitally that I'd like to have in both their books (that way I can just print it off twice!). Fun!

Parker Pics

I think Parker got this look from my Dad:
Parker definitely got this onesie from my Dad (ok, so it may have been Landon's first):

Parker loved sleeping on Carrie's pregnant belly! It was so good to see friends when we got back!

Christmas Pictures

I've finally gotten around to uploading our Christmas photos - yeah! Scott got me Photoshop Elements for Christmas so I had to play around with all the pictures (you know, remove all of our zits, etc.) before posting them :).
Before we left to go to Arizona we had a mini Christmas with my family (they came down for Parker's birth). Landon got totally hooked up (as did Wii)!

My Mom took care of Landon while we were at the hospital with Parker - I came home to a scrubbed kitchen and yummy food. She was so amazing!

Also before we left, Landon and Parker took their first bath together....and Landon figured out that he could fit into a guitar case.

Once we got to Arizona we stayed with Scott's parents. They were so helpful with both Parker and Landon; it was really great! This is us on Christmas morning:

It's been awhile since we got a really great grumpy picture from Landon:

Scott's brother Chad, his wife Chrissy and their kids Olivia and Adam stayed with us as well - Landon LOVED Olivia so much. He still asks for her almost every day!

As each family arrived we had another mini-Christmas. This is Scott's sister Stacie's family. Landon had a lot of fun playing with their kids (especially Sam!).

This is Scott's brother Ryan and his wife Danna. Danna is finishing up her Pediatric residency so we hadn't seen her for awhile!

The older girls really loved their new cousin Parker.

The girls had so much fun together and they even let Landon tag along. He felt pretty cool!

Landon really loved playing with his cousin Andrew too!

On my birthday Scott's Mom made me these really great ice cream sandwiches - they were SO yummy! It was the perfect end to a great birthday (I got to go "boxing day" shopping, get my haircut and eat at one of my favorite restaurants from back home "Earls" - they have one in Scottsdale!).

The rest of our trip was spent with the Grandparents and the cousins. We all had so much fun with everyone!

Most of all, we were so grateful to have a few weeks to spend together. Christmas always helps me to remember what is most important in life and this year I have felt so blessed. I have two beautiful little boys and a husband who loves me and supports me. I'm so glad that Parker arrived healthy and happy and that Landon is learning how to be a big brother. It's a lot of work being a Mom, but I wouldn't want to be doing anything else!

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying the New Year!

Home Sweet Home

After our holiday sojourn to Arizona, we're back home in Berkeley! Landon was SO excited to see his "big boy bed" and all of his toys again. Even without a real nap today he stayed up way past his normal bed time playing and showing us all the things he remembered about home (like where to find the screwdrivers). It was also quite amazing that Parker, at 3 weeks old, recognized our home! It was pretty hard to get him to nap in his travel bed, but the second we put him back in his bassinet he didn't make a peep. After our horrendous night last night (he was congested) we are looking forward to a good night of rest - fingers crossed! We'll post pictures soon and happy New Year!
