Disney Trip

I finally had time to upload all the pictures :). Last weekend we went down to So. Cal. for Scott to attend a conference and receive an award from last semester. We had to turn it into a Disney trip - I think we deserved a break after Scott's 10 weeks of commuting!
We started off our trip with an amazing character breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland hotel. Well, technically we started off our trip with a wild goose chase called "finding Alicia's home", but that's a story for another day. This is much more pleasant! Love you 'Lish! We got to stay with our good friends Brandon and Heather and their kids Ashley and Dallin. We hadn't seen them in YEARS!
Parker LOVED the characters!
Landon did too, he just shows it differently...
Of course, this is really why we came...mmmmm.

Alicia and Parker were feelin' the crazy psychic twin power zing (pretty much the whole trip). Must be the red hair!! To keep Parkers love, Alicia had to eat (and pretend to enjoy) the nasty, soggy pieces of food he kept feeding her at breakfast :)
After breakfast we went over to Disneyland and started out with AstroBlasters. Landon was a bit freaked out by Zurg, but he loved the guns. While we were waiting for the other group, he busted out his cars. This was what he looked like whenever we stopped at a ride. We were lucky the park wasn't busy!
And this is what Parker looked like:
I fed the boys lunch while everyone went on the Haunted Mansion (Landon didn't want to see the ghosts). While we were sitting there, these guys came out. Landon and Parker both wanted to get closer!
Parker decided to ditch the line :)
We started to head back to the house for naps when we got a call from my Mom - she was totally calling from inside Disneyland! She flew down early that morning and surprised us in the park! I still can't believe she kept it a secret :). It was so fun to have her there! I think Landon is pretty convinced that her third home is in Downtown Disney!
Alicia and Landon had fun that night playing cars on the big letters:
And Parker LOVED being thrown in with the stuffed animals at the WOD.
The next day we did California Adventure. The new Toy Story ride is SO awesome. It's Buzz Lightyear times 10. Ok, times 100. Landon even figured out how to work the gun - he got quite a few points the second time around! After going on a few rides we ate lunch at the pier. Landon and Ashley fed their food to the ducks...
...and Parker just chased the birds...
...and, well, ate other peoples food too.
Did I mention that it was 90 degrees every day? After lunch we went into "A Bug's Life" land and cooled off in the huge sprinkler. This is what all the pictures of Landon looked like: a blur. He was SO happy to be playing in the water!
Parker was pretty excited too. He sat there and splashed for quite awhile before getting cold!

After the park closed we got to go to "Mickey's Treak or Treat". Alicia got us tickets when she was a cast member there and somehow they got my Mom a ticket (they were supposed to be sold out) so that we could all go together. The Disney magic never ceases to amaze me...or should I say, the "Lishuh/Mom magic".
They only let 3000 people total into the park, so we got to do all the rides with hardly any lines. Plus, they had trick or treating for the kids. It was so fun!!
Parker was crawling all over in his bear costome. I wish I had a picture of his little tail wobbling! This is a bad picture, but you get the idea.
When Landon first put on his costume he was running around Downtown Disney quacking really loud. Everyone was gathered around him and laughing - he looked so cute! It was pretty funny when we realized that one of the onlookers was a Dr. from Scott's conference. He got to see Scott in a somewhat different light :). These boys are very into Halloween!
Landon got to be the flight leader on the rockets. He was pretty pumped.

And Parker just loved his sucker. His bear hair was all matted and sticky...
Our little family:

Landon loved his sucker too!

The next morning we did Fantasyland with my Mom and Alicia. Landon especially liked Dumbo, the Carousel and Casey Jr.

Here's Grandma and Landon going on Peter Pan. He wanted to ride with her on every ride!

We spent our last night with Brandon and Heather - Ashley and Dallin got to go trick or treating with their ward. Ashley was SO excited to be a bride and Dallin's costume was so cute!!

Parker was excited to have some naked time. How cute is that little body!?!?

After everyone was home, Landon and Ashley (well, mostly Ashley) sang us a few Primary songs before bed. We're slightly jealous of Brandon's piano...
We had so much fun there and LOVED having so much time with family and friends. Until next time Disneyland!!
