Merry Christmas!!

Since Scott is going to be returning to full-time clinic this week (and taking finals!!) I decided to post some pictures and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. There's a good chance that I won't even have time to turn on my computer before we leave for the holidays, but I'll try to be optimistic...

Here are the beautiful flowers that Scott brought me in the hospital. I think the card said something like "I know it was my sleeping that helped you push the baby out" :).

Here's me and Parker when we got home from the hospital.
What a sweet little sleeper! Seriously, he's an awesome sleeper and we couldn't be more grateful!

Sleeping on Daddy.

Our first family outing to the park!

We had to document how cute this little Santa coat is from Grandma and Grandpa Prince. It's been keeping Parker nice and toasty!

Our first picture as a family of four. We tried to tell Parker to smile, but it didn't really work all that well.

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday - Merry Christmas!

Best big brother...

Parker has decided that the WORST thing in this new world of his is having his legs uncovered. We were changing his diaper last night and he really started wailing - then I hear Landon in the other room talking about how his baby brother is crying (he sounded quite distressed!). Landon came running into the room (almost crying himself) and grabbed his blankie (*Note: this is his most prized possession - he has been known to hide it when other kids come over to play). We thought he was going to use it to comfort himself, but he ran over to me and handed it to Parker! Then he ran back into his room and grabbed his (also very special) stuffed bear and ran it out to Parker too. Parker had stopped crying at this point and Landon looked so happy! It was the sweetest thing! Then Landon poked Parker in the eye. In the midst of trying to comfort Parker and Landon, Scott and I both realized how grateful we are that Landon loves his little brother. He's been so sweet thus far and he's thrilled to have Parker around (even when he's taking up Mommy time). So far so good!

Pictures

Here are a few pictures of our new addition. Just as an update: last night we did NOT have to stay in the shared room (thanks to some "mad eyes" by Grandma Prince) and Scott, Parker and I all had a great night's sleep. Landon got to meet his little brother today - he was so excited! In the picture below he was giving him a kiss :).

Welcome, Baby Parker!

I'll keep this brief, since I'm leaving Cindy and the babe stranded at the hospital as I write this.

Parker Findlay Gunderson was born this morning (Monday, Dec. 10th) at 11:08 am! He weighed 6lbs 12 oz, measured 19.75 inches in length, and had a fairly full head of light brown hair with just a smidgeon of red. Both mother and baby are doing well, although tonight could test that assessment - the new little family, minus child#1, who'll be watched by Grandma Sue, will be spending the night at the hospital in a shared room. The cause of the shared room? An impending nurses strike! Don't these people have to take some sort of oath as well . . .

Anyhow, I'm off to the hospital. Pictures soon to follow!

No Baby Yet Folks!

Since we don't have any baby news yet, we thought we'd put up a few little updates on what our family has been up to the past week or two:

This is Landon drawing on his chalkboard - he really loves it!

Landon decided he wanted to wear Daddy's socks...

This is us at Thanksgiving! We went to the Vignola's house (Liz's parents) for dinner and it was SO fantastic. Landon especially loved that they had puppies to play with (and pie).

Sorry Steve, Liz gets prime spot on this one since she baked all of the desserts :).

After Thanksgiving we put up our Christmas stuff. I love it - our house feels so festive! This is our tree (we actually have one this year!):

Here are our stockings (Landon is already trying to tear Parker's down...mostly because it jingles!):

And here is our beautiful nativity set that my Mom made us for Christmas last year:

We are definitely in the Christmas spirit and can't wait to share this wonderful season with Landon and Parker. Hopefully our next post will be baby all the way!!
