The Wedding Weekend

Ok, I'm warning you - this post is extremely picture happy! That's what weddings are all about, though, right? Anyway, Brandon is officially NOT a bachelor anymore - he and Tamsin got married on August 22nd in the Laie, HI Temple. The ceremony was really beautiful (my Grandpa Prince was able to travel over to be the sealer), and as you can see from the pictures, the setting didn't leave much to be desired! Being in the temple for a wedding always reminds Scott and me of the important things in life; I'm so glad we could all be there together as a family!
Tamsin and Brandon getting photo's taken.
Us outside the temple.

We had to get a shot of the photographer! (My Uncle Gerry)

My sister Alicia looking gorgeous!

Landon's buddy, Uncle Bryson (though he calls him "Bubba"). He's been asking for him ever since we got back!

All of the boys ready for pictures (Bryson and Landon had waited way too long for the temple ceremony to be over - hence the annoyed faces).

My sister Stacey helping to entertain Landon - it was flaming hot out! She looked gorgeous too :).

All of the groomsmen - Brandon's friend Joel, Bryson, my cousin Jordan, Scott and Landon. Brandon looked pretty dashing, although I must say that Landon was the cutest for me! Ok, maybe Scott and Landon were tied...

Doesn't he look handsome!?

Us and my Grandparents - we were so happy to see them there! We love and miss them so much and with the new baby coming, we probably won't get up to Canada anytime soon. We're so glad we got to spend time with them!

After the temple pictures, we all went down to the beach for a ring ceremony that Tamsin's family had prepared.

Apparently, Tamsin had always wanted a horse at her wedding, so this is it! They all looked pretty beautiful on the beach.
We all got to take turns on the horse after they were finished, so Landon got his first ride! He seemed to really enjoy it!

I love this picture!

The night before we all left, we went out for dinner at this really amazing place at Turtle Bay called "21 Degrees North". It was seriously one of the best meals Scott and I have had in a long time! We're still dreaming of that filet mignon...

These are the Uncles, Cousins and Friends/the kids table (no offense Gerry and Craig, but you fit right in!!)

The rest of us were at "the adult table" :). The sunset view was amazing!

On the way to the airport we made a quick trip with the family to our favorite shave ice shack (Matsumoto's). It was SO delicious, although I think my tongue was numb afterwards.

We already miss it out there and are slightly bummed that this will probably be the last trip we take in a long time. We had so much fun with our family and it was so great to see Brandon on his wedding day!

I am going to post pictures from the wedding soon, but until then, here is our favorite crazy haired Landon picture:

Mother's Day

Today felt like Mother's Day to me! Despite my terrible pregnancy allergies, there were two instances today that made me feel like a million bucks. Baby #2 was kicking like crazy in church today and Landon was getting quite antsy (his molars are coming in...not fun), so I tried to distract him by grabbing his hand and holding it my tummy telling him that "baby" was moving. It was a good little game - then he actually felt the baby kick. He ripped his hand away in shock that Mommy's belly had just jumped and then started saying "bebe, bebe, bebe" over and over while giving me the best hug. I could've cried.

Then, after church Landon was "gardening" in our back yard (involving dirt, a tonka truck and rocks). Scott and I were sitting on the pavement by the grass and we took the opportunity to do a little canoodling. Landon caught us, tromped over, gave Scott a look like "that's MY Mommy, what do you think you're doing??", then dipped in and gave me the sweetest little kiss. As many of you know, little boy lips are the softest things in the world, so I felt really special!

Tomato Tomahto

One of my favorite things about summer is gardening! Ok, I must admit that I really only started REAL gardening this summer, but it's been fun so far. I came home to find that all my hard work planting, fertilizing, pruning and watering had finally started to pay off! My neighbor Carrie and I grew the tomato's and lettuce from teensy tiny seeds. It's made me think of all the parables about seeds that Christ taught in the scriptures. I love having real life examples that make you recognize gospel principles. It's extremely gratifying to eat veggies that WE grew (plus I swear they taste better).

I bought this lemon tree at a garage sale at least a year ago and this season the lemons started to ripen and about 7 new lemons are popping up!

Last days in the Maui Sun

We ended up coming home for a week or two before the wedding on Oahu (Landon missed his daddy...I might have missed him too) so this was our last day on Maui! I think Landon will be pretty excited to see the beach again when we go back.

I decided that messiness had nothing on the joys of licking your first, real ice cream cone all by yourself! He loved it, although the licking took some practice :).
