Ode to Travel

Alright, so many of you know that we have the travel bug pretty bad in our family. We've really tried to take advantage of the time that Scott's had off during his first two years of school and travel together as a family. Landon has loved seeing new places and we've all loved seeing friends and family along the way. These are just a few places that we think you all NEED to visit as soon as possible:

Disneyland. Yes, Disneyland. It is TOTALLY the happiest place on earth if you know how to avoid the lines. You can take your babies/kids on almost all of the rides, the food is amazing, and need I even mention the fireworks? They usually have sales on tickets during the off seasons (early spring especially) so check it out!

The beautiful islands of Hawaii! Every island has totally different things to offer and we love them all, although we do highly recommend Kauai. It's much more quiet and secluded than the others (which makes for true paradise right?).

Take a ski trip! These pictures are from Park City and Kelowna B.C. I must admit, Utah is much warmer than Canada - Landon didn't even know what to do with himself when he felt the cold air hit his face (besides hold his breath and hope it went away).

Lastly, go to Canada! We are somewhat biased, but we think it's pretty gorgeous. There's nothing like the great, white north to bring a couple closer together (especially when it's freezing out!).

Since we're so behind in our posts, we thought it would be good to update you on the past year or two. Obviously, the biggest change has been the arrival of our first little boy Landon. He was born on May 13th, 2006 (he weighed 6 lbs. 5 oz. - hallelujah - and was 19 inches long). The labor was long, but honestly not as bad as everyone tells you. Although, now that I'm about to do it again it seems a bit more scary than I remembered it.
Here we are just a few minutes after Landon was born.

This is Landon in his little dog bathrobe - just a few weeks old.

4 months old - just discovering the joys of solid food!

We're already grooming him to be musical...and he will love it :)

Out in our backyard at 6 months.

He really loves books (counting ones are his favorites).

Ok, now you're somewhat caught up! We'll post some more recent stuff soon - have a great night!
